Record Swimarathon for GANF

DSC01745On Friday 3rd February pupils and staff from Sandon and Ambergate participated in the 2017 Grantham Swimarathon event. The Swimarathon is a 3 day event that raises money for the Rotary Club, an organisation that supports local charities.

It was a fantastic first day with our pupils making up four lanes, a record for us! Furthermore, staff representatives from GANF swam on the Friday night and Saturday morning.

The event was a brilliant occasion for GANF, with pupils and staff filling the stands to support the swimmers. The atmosphere was electric with music playing and all the spectators were on their feet dancing and cheering.

Mr Caress, Teacher in charge of Health & Safety, “What a fantastic occasion for all connected with GANF, we are so proud of the pupils and the support was incredible. Can’t wait for next year already!”

It is planned that next year GANF will have even more lanes booked so more pupils can take part.
