Earlier this term an appeal went out on social media asking local schools to help brighten up Grantham Hospital.
Local lady, Jody Clark, started campaigning over 12 months ago about the overnight closure of Grantham A&E.
At the front of the hospital is some temporary fencing, due to ground work being carried out and Jody thought decorating this with local schools pictures would really draw attention to the building.
Reading the appeal, Lisa Freestone a GANF TA, took charge of the task and assisted the Sandon pupils with their artwork. Lisa said, “All the children at Sandon coloured in or designed a piece of bunting to be displayed on the railings at Grantham Hospital and Jody Clark from 'Fighting for Grantham Hospital' came in to meet the children and collect the artwork.”
Jody, who is a parent of two pupils of GANF, commented and said, “Thank you to all the children and staff at Sandon for the beautiful art work for Grantham Hospital. It has made the boring fencing, alive with colour and helps lift people’s spirits while they are feeling poorly. You have all worked so hard, you should be proud of yourselves. Thank you again, was lovely to meet you and see so many familiar faces”.
