Headingley class have been working hard over the past couple of weeks to prepare for their presentation to parents and carers, which was held on 21st March 2018.
They started off with their good morning song which they sing every morning to get themselves ready for the day. Whilst singing the song they have also learnt Makaton signs to go with it.
For literacy the class role played one of the adventure tales that they have been looking at in the lesson. They had taken an extract from the story of Peter Pan and got into characters to act out the different scenes. The pupils put on a great performance.
For maths the parents and carers were asked to guess which container would hold the most liquid as Headingley Class have been learning about capacity. Then the pupils filled the containers up and measured the capacity using measuring jugs.
In topic they have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons and the pupils read out the information they had learnt to the parents and carers. They then sang a song about the Anglo-Saxons to the tune of Ghost Busters.
Finally a presentation was shown to the audience with all the photos of the other things they have been learning about through-out the year, which gave the parents an opportunity to see the great work that Headingley class have been doing.
