Spalding Priory 1 – 7 Ambergate

on .

SSSAmbergate’s football team visited The Priory School in Spalding this term for a football fixture.

Ambergate worked very hard and played some excellent football. It is always competitive against The Priory and both teams thoroughly enjoyed the match.

Despite this being the first game of the term, the team were able to read each other well. Ambergate were very organised and created many chances with Reggie, Lewis and Corey scoring the goals. The pupil’s stuck to their tasks and made sure they were in control of the game.

Jamie Mitchell played very well in goal and limited The Priory School to one goal. Jamie is developing into an excellent goalkeeper, showing all the right attributes required to progress in the game.

It was fantastic to see our former Assistant Head, Mr Scott, who came to watch most of the game. He gave both sets of players a boost to perform at the best of their ability.

Mr Maltby hopes to carry on introducing new faces to the squad, and wants to continue the excellent form the team has shown over recent years.
