At the end of last term, some of St Andrew’s tutor group, along with Miss Clark and Mrs Elson, had the pleasure of being invited to Stamford Hospital to deliver handmade Christmas cards (made by St Andrews and Henley Class) to patients that may have to spend the Christmas period in Hospital.
This came about after an appeal from the hospital and ward asking for local schools to make cards for the patients. Only a few schools were selected to personally hand deliver the cards and have a tour of the ward.
Pupils were given a tour of the ward and got to meet the staff; before bringing many smiles to the patients of the ward when giving out the cards and chatting with them.
Miss Clark was so proud of the pupils who showed real kindness and confidence.
The pupils were very pleased to be given cakes and a thankyou gift by the staff on the John Van Geest ward. Thank you to all the staff on the ward for looking after our staff and pupils.
