On Monday 3rd February, Leamington Class visited the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum in North Hykeham, for our transport topic.
The pupils saw so many vehicles, some of which were over 50 years old. There were lots of old cars, buses and bikes. During the morning, Leamington Class looked around all of the old vehicles and even got to sit in some of them. They really enjoyed the old-fashioned buses, especially the ones where they were able to sit on the top deck.
In the afternoon the class took part in a quiz. They worked in teams to look around the museum to look for the answers. For the quiz they had to look at registration plates, signs and information boards. The pupils loved looking at all the features and comparing them to modern day vehicles and were especially shocked to see that many of the cars did not have seatbelts in!
Leamington Class would like to say a huge thank you to FOSA for donating the funds to allow them to go on this wonderful trip. They would also like to say thank you to the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum for letting us come and visit.
