GANF win "A Grand Idea" bid to kick start their Gym fundraising!GANF wins photo

A Grand Idea was launched earlier this year by Ringrose Law.  They are giving £1,000 each to six different charities/community groups across Lincolnshire and Newark. To date, the scheme has supported Beaumond House in Newark, Hollies Animal Rescue Home in Sleaford, Spalding Football Club and Branston Skate Park.

Alex Gray, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law comments;

"We had some fantastic entries from Grantham and surrounding villages, all such very worthy causes. After short listing the top five projects we opened up a public vote, which really was neck and neck until the very last second! We are delighted that Grantham Additional Needs Federation has won, and hope this provides them with the kick-start they need for their fundraising."

On hearing the great news, James Ellis, Vice Principal at GANF said;

"We are absolutely thrilled to receive this money from A Grand Idea. Our pupils have such complex needs and many cannot access standard exercise that we all take for granted.  At GANF we want to offer these pupils a chance to keep fit and have fun at the same time.

We are trying to raise £10,000 to refurbish a disused space and transform it into a Gym.  We need to kit the gym out with adapted equipment for our less able pupils and this £1,000 has given us a fantastic start for our fundraising campaign!"

Please look out for further fund raising projects by pupils and staff, that you can support.
