A GANF parent organised a sell-out ‘Indulgence evening’ last week and raised £1,121 towards our new Sensory Garden Project.
The packed out event which sold out of 180 tickets was arranged by Katie Bennington, whose son Joseph has been a pupil at GANF since September.
The event was held at Grantham Town Football Club’s MCS Centre and was filled with beauty treatments, sweets, cupcakes, clothes, homeware and gifts, provided by 25 stall-holders from local businesses.
Katie said, “The school has been really great for Joseph and I have been to events like this before and met people who wanted to do an evening to support the cause. It’s wonderful that a local cause has attracted so much local support.”
On the night £1121,50 was raised from stall fees as well as entrance and raffle tickets, which will help us build a sensory garden for our pupils.
Katie said assembling the stall-holders was easy because of their eagerness to help, and added: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to raising the funds for the indulgence evening and I am overwhelmed at the level of support that has been given to a cause very close to my heart.”
Principal in charge of schools, Ann White, was at the evening and said: “It is absolutely amazing and so is this lady. Katie actually planned and organised the whole thing herself. She puts so much effort into GANF through her volunteering.”
The Pupils and Staff at GANF would all like to thank Katie very much for all her hard work.
