Friday 21st September was National Jeans for Genes Day and at GANF and both pupils and staff took part in it.
Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder.
Monies raised on Jeans for Genes Day fund the work of the charity and provide grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.
There are half a million children in the UK living with a genetic disorder. Any donations to the charity help towards care, equipment and activities for children in real need. The aim of the day is to help improve the lives of children with life-altering genetic conditions.
On the day, we welcomed staff and pupils to come into school wearing Jeans in exchange for a donation of £1 per person towards this fantastic cause and we raised £155 in total!
We thank you for your continued support.
